Managing Read and Unread Conversations

Marking Conversations as Read

Enrollio tracks which parent and family conversations you've seen. You have several options to mark a conversation as read:

Manual Options

  1. Click "Mark as Read" — Look for this button at the top of any conversation thread
  2. Reply to the conversation — When you send a message, Enrollio automatically marks the thread as read

Automation Options

  1. Use an automation action — Add an "Edit Conversation" action to your automation that marks conversations as read automatically
  2. Enable Auto Mark as Read — Toggle this on in your automation settings to mark conversations read when the automation processes them

Pro Tip: If you're using automations to respond to common parent inquiries (like tour requests or enrollment questions), turn on "Auto Mark as Read" to keep your inbox clean without manual effort.

Why This Matters

Keeping track of read vs. unread conversations helps you and your team stay on top of parent communication. Unread conversations need attention — read conversations have been handled.

Your conversation list shows unread messages in bold, making it easy to spot what needs your response.
