Text Messaging Ramp Progress Card

Text Messaging Ramp Progress Card

Track and upgrade your text messaging limits with the Messaging Ramp Progress Card. This tool shows you exactly where you stand in the messaging ramp process, what you need to do to level up, and how to unlock higher messaging capabilities for your childcare business.

What is the Messaging Ramp Progress Card?

The Messaging Ramp is an 8-level warm-up system for text messages sent through Enrollio Phone. Think of it as training wheels that help you gradually increase your daily texting capacity while protecting your deliverability.

You have a daily send limit based on your current level. By following the card's instructions and unlocking higher levels, you increase your daily capacity. When you hit your daily limit at each level, outbound texting pauses for 24 hours — a built-in safeguard that protects your message deliverability as you scale.

Note: The Messaging Ramp applies to SMS/MMS sent through Enrollio Phone. It does not govern WhatsApp sending limits.

How the Messaging Ramp Works

All accounts start at Level 1, which lets you send 100 text messages within 24 hours. Here's how you progress:

  1. Hit Your Daily Limit: Send the full number of messages allowed at your current level within a 24-hour window
  2. 24-Hour Pause: After reaching your limit, outbound texting pauses for 24 hours (this protects your deliverability)
  3. Level Up: After the 24-hour pause, you unlock the next level with a higher daily limit
  4. Repeat: Continue this process until you reach Level 8

The card updates automatically to reflect your new level and show what's next. Once you reach Level 8, you'll see a congratulatory message with next steps.

Pro Tip: The ramp doesn't start when you sign up — it starts the day you send your first successful text message.

Example: Climbing from Level 1 to Level 3

Here's a practical example of how to plan your sends over several days:

Day 1: Starting at Level 1

  • Your daily limit: 100 messages
  • You send 100 messages to parents about upcoming enrollment deadlines
  • Texting pauses for 24 hours

Day 2: Level 2 Unlocked

  • Your daily limit: 250 messages
  • You send 250 messages about tour availability
  • Texting pauses for 24 hours

Day 3: Level 3 Unlocked

  • Your daily limit: 500 messages
  • You can now reach more families with enrollment reminders

This process continues until you reach Level 8, which allows 3,000+ daily messages — plenty for most childcare businesses.

During the 24-Hour Pause

What's paused: All outbound text messages, including one-to-one messages and automated messages

What still works: You can still receive inbound messages from parents. The pause only affects outbound messages.

Pro Tip: Plan your bulk messaging campaigns around the ramp schedule. If you know you'll hit your limit with a waitlist update, schedule important one-to-one parent communications before sending the bulk message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I skip levels or remove this ramp system?

No. The ramp system is in place for all accounts to ensure deliverability and compliance. Previously there was an option to adjust limits, but that's no longer available.

Do one-to-one messages count toward my daily limit?

Yes. All outbound text messages count toward your daily limit, including:

  • One-to-one messages with parents
  • Bulk messages to families
  • Automated messages (like missed call responses)
  • Text messages from automations

Can I send one-to-one messages during the 24-hour pause?

No. When your account is temporarily paused after reaching your level limit, all outbound messaging stops — including one-to-one conversations with parents. Plan accordingly if you have important parent communications.

Can parents still text me during the 24-hour pause?

Yes! The pause only controls outbound messages. You'll continue to receive inbound messages from parents, and they'll appear in your conversations as normal.

How long does it take to reach Level 8?

It depends on your sending volume. If you consistently hit your daily limits, you could reach Level 8 in about a week. Most childcare businesses reach their ideal level within 2-3 weeks of regular use.

What happens after I reach Level 8?

Level 8 provides 3,000+ messages per day, which handles the needs of most childcare businesses. If you need higher limits, contact Enrollio support for options.
